LifeSkills Centre

At Our Future Tutoring, we believe that the journey to independent living starts with real, hands-on experience. That’s why we’ve created the LifeSkills Centre—a fully immersive learning space designed specifically for 16-25-year-olds, including school leavers, care leavers, and those heading off to university.

Our LifeSkills Centre isn’t just a classroom—it’s a bespoke, purpose-built apartment designed to replicate real-life scenarios and the challenges of independent living. Whether you're moving out for the first time, transitioning from care, or preparing for university life, this programme provides the practical skills and confidence needed to manage everyday responsibilities.

Everything takes place in a realistic, fully equipped home environment, where young people gain hands-on experience in budgeting, managing finances, cooking, maintaining a home, and building healthy relationships. This comprehensive, real-world training ensures that participants develop the essential life skills to navigate adulthood and thrive independently.

Financial Literacy & Budgeting

Learning to manage money is one of the most valuable skills a young adult can have. Through realistic budgeting exercises, students gain hands-on experience with managing their finances, setting goals, and avoiding debt. This module focuses on teaching students how to budget effectively, understand financial priorities, and make informed decisions about their spending.

Time Management & Organisation

How do you juggle work, social life, and personal responsibilities? This module teaches students how to organise schedules, prioritise tasks, and reduce stress. By learning these skills, students will be able to balance their day-to-day activities, meet deadlines, and develop good habits for productivity and efficiency.

Career Readiness & Workplace Skills

As students prepare to enter the workforce, this module equips them with the skills necessary for success in their professional lives. From CV writing and interview preparation to workplace etiquette and professionalism, students are guided through the essential elements of job applications, workplace expectations, and career development. This module helps students build the confidence to stand out to potential employers and transition smoothly into the workforce.
