GREAT START TO 2026
We hope you and your family had a restful and enjoyable start to the year. It has been wonderful to welcome our students back after the Christmas break, and we are pleased to share some of the positive progress, achievements, and upcoming plans within our Learning Department.
This half term has been full of energy, growth, and exciting steps forward - and we are proud of every young person who has worked so hard over the past few weeks.
HALF TERM HIGHLIGHTS
Our tutors have been supporting students with personalised learning sessions designed to help build confidence, develop key skills, and prepare for a successful return to school. We are delighted to share some fantastic progress:
Four students have returned to school since the start of January - a huge achievement
for each of them.
Three more students will be transitioning back very soon.
We were also pleased to welcome back two students for a visit, giving us the chance to
reconnect and celebrate the progress they’ve made.
Every one of these milestones reflects the commitment and hard work of our young people as well as the dedication of our tutors, who create warm, engaging learning experiences every day.
Our tutors have been preparing engaging learning resources, including updated Meet the Tutor presentations with photos, sound, and video clips. These small touches help build trust, familiarity, and confidence for students before sessions begin.
This half term we’ve also focused on:
Building supportive routines
Encouraging positive learning habits
Helping students gradually rebuild confidence and independence
Strengthening communication between home, tutors, and schools
Your support at home continues to make a big difference - thank you.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE NEXT HALF TERM
We’re excited for the months ahead and will continue to focus on:
Providing high-quality and personalised tutoring
Supporting smooth transitions back into school
Offering enrichment activities where possible
Creating a calm, nurturing environment where students feel safe and ready to learn
We always welcome ideas, suggestions, or feedback from parents and carers your perspective is incredibly valuable in shaping the learning experience.
